If GMA thinks they have caught a big fish by having Dyesebel, they maybe wrong. Rival network, heats things up with “Dyosa” with Anne Curtis in the helm. Can the stinky beauty drown the goddess’ powers?

Dyesebel is the Philippines’ well know mermaid character created in the early 50’s by renowned comic book illustrator, Mars Ravelo. Later on, several movie adaptations of Dyesebel were released. And I personally like the version of Alice Dixon, who portrayed the role of Dyesebel in 1990.

This year, GMA 7 is set to make a remake of Dyesebel and this time it would be shown on primetime television. Joyce Bernal, who currently works on Marimar, confirmed that she will the director of this upcoming series.

Anne Curtis will be the eighteen-year-old Dyosa who is living a normal life as a student, a part-time cosplay model and a loving daughter to her midget parents when she discovers that she is not an ordinary girl. A half-man half-goat appears before Dyosa on her 18th birthday to reveal that Dyosa is actually a goddess, a descendant of Mariang Sinukuan and Bernardo Carpio, who is destined to rule the world of the upper gods.

Dyosa has to make a choice: Will she heed the call of her destiny and save the dying world of the Philippine gods and goddesses and leave the life she has lived for 18 years? Or will she resist her new role as a goddess and give up her powers to stay in the human world with the mortal she loves?

The two have okay storyline. Let’s just expect na Anne will be at her best in acting while Marian may be better than what she has shown in Marimar.

    Anne is a much prettier and a much better actress. Marian is just a product of too much media-hype and public relations done by GMA7. Marian has yet to prove her worth as an actress minus the backing of GMA7.

    hahahaha….anne curtis is originally from SYEEEETE! pero naging matunog at naging sikat sya when she decide to move in ABS..Marian? duh….a fuckin piece of retokada…hahaha….balang araw, lilipat din yan sa ABS…hahahaha…i love much Anne curtis when it comes to acting…compared with dysebel..hahaha…sikat lang si marian sa syete, dahil gusto nilang gawing Angel Locsin, tapos pag nagtagal na at nagamit na ng syete ang talent nya, gagawa nanamn ng reason ang SYEETE to fired her….sisiraan din cya like Angel…

    They’re both beautiful pero for me Anne is prettier and sexier. Plus, she’s a better actress and she has a really nice personality.

    ANNE IS SO HOT. no doubt about it.
    Marian is also hot while dancing Marimar, pero as a mermaid, not so hot. Unlike Anne, even as a half horse she still looks so hot.

    hai naku……….marian is very much better than anne but on the other hand, anne is also a great actress and model……

    Marian has a perfect body - 34-24-34…….what can you say?
    She is meztiza plus can speak Spanish fluently.
    She also dances and acts great! Also, she is an A.B. Psychology graduate of De La Salle University……and take note of this……..SHE’S NOT A PLAYGIRL LIKE ANNE! She’s also like a barbie doll……almost perfect!

    Go Marian! Let’s support Dyesebel and other programs of hers and GMA Kapuso!!

    Anne curtis has a more sophisticated beauty than Marian Rivera….. she had proven her worth as an actress. she had outgown in her acting career. no doubt, Anne is the only “dyosa” . i bet she’s such a glamorous, sexy and hot lad….

    anne makes a much more lovelier mermaid marian luks kinda old. shes not ugly but shes no where near as gorgeous as anne. as for the drama obviously dyosa is a better drama than dyesebel gosh the script is awful and threz so many loopholes its makes viewers luk dumb. dyosa’s pacing is really good. and the cast are easy on the eyes. i mean anne’s 23 but shes passable as an 18 yr old. unlike marian who is only 23 but looks about 28.

    pls stop comparing marian..shes so great ..though she is only on her 3yrs or 2yrs in the limelight..almost actresses are so insecure to her popularity..she can act/dance ( she always won a dance competition on her elem/h-school days) and beauty competition..she won also in guillermo award ( mind you..she won a three thropies. in one night only) bravo…marian your one of a kind..a religious..and not flirtitious unlike your ANNe look at her mouth ..too big..and sometimes her nose is not good..i think she went to a THANKS DOCTOR…its just a comment..peace!!

    Anne has a the best buntot in dyosa…its the very first buntot na nakita ko na pinakamaganda..pang dyosa talaga..c dyesebel just one of the members of mga serena..e c josephine dyosa..isang dyosa,,,ang pinaka makapangyarihan……………. Acting ni marian needs improvement… kung hindi sa sikat na marimar by thalia which she portrayed in gma, di cguro xa sisikat…just take a look at her previous dramas, diba hindi xa sikat…well, marian,,,try mo kaya mag portray ng role sa drama na hindi remake.. tingnan natin kung sisikat ka!

    d ko gusto ung dyesebel pero gusto ko ung marimar. pero para sakin kung kagandahan e di c marian na. parehas naman kasi d ganun kaganda ung mga visual effects ng dyesebel at dyosa. c marian kasi inosente mukha pero mas magaling si anne umarte kasi mas matagal na siya sa showbiz industry pero kung tatagal den c marian siyempre gagaling din YAN! gogo teams Anne & Marian
