Cinemalaya Foundation has named the five finalists in the Open Category of the Cinemalaya Independent Film Festival and Competition 2010 and they were: Isang Pirasong Buhay by Mark Meily, Pink Halo-Halo by Jay Altarejos, Sigwa by Joel Lamangan, Ang Paglilitis ni Bonifacio by Mario O’ Hara, and Two Funerals by Gil Portes.

Filmfest Awardees
Baron Geisler won an award finally. He was really a great actor despite the many controversies he has gotten himself into. He won the Best Actor award for his role in the indie film, “Jay”. Mylene Dizon was hailed Best Actress in her performance in “100″.

A Very Gay Award
The beloved of Dolphy starrer aced other entries of a very delightfully named award from an international gay and lesbian film festival. Zsa zsa might feel overwhelmed and of course Rustom Padilla too for being awarded such overseas.
