I deeply admire Ces Drilon for keeping up her journalistic guts and doing the interview with the Abu Sayaf. It endangered her and her company’s lives but thank God she was freed. To think that the rebels thought of raping her during that time!
Watch in Sunday’s Best, her documentary where Ces revealed not to been raped by Abu Sayyaf Group members. It details the incident through narration, actual footages and reenactments narrated in a chronological order.
Its high level of realism and honesty make it believable and compelling, an extraordinary journalistic pursuit. Ces confirmed the report that there were attempts to violate her womandood. But the respect and care showed by cameramen Jimmy Valderama and Angelo Valderama prevented members of the bandit group from making the move.
She said there were suggestions from the bandits about sex but none ended up to violate her womanhood. Drilon is still under s under three-month suspension now for violating the network’s order not to do the interview herself.

Ces, I salute you as a woman. Your idealism in journalistic pursuit almost violated your womanhood, but thank God it never happened!!!! The agony that you experienced in the hand of the bandits made you so remarkable and willpowered. I salute you!!!!!!
