His Facebook page says: “I’M THE 100% AMERICAN WHO PERFORMS ORIGINAL PINOY MUSIC. You may have seen me on YOUTUBE. I love the Eheads and balut! I play OPM with an American twist. I call it “jOePM” as in “HEY JOE”. Andito ako sa Pilipinas and will perform Original jOePM (TAGALOG) in 2012. Hope to meet you at a show or two! Mabuhay ang OPM!”
This New Jersey native is currently staying in Manila and has been singing his way to the hearts of the Filipinos with his love for Original Pinoy Music.
Apart from the Eraserheads, Chris supports other Pinoy bands as well by promoting their songs through his cover versions. He’s done his own versions of the hits of Kamikazee, 6 Cycle Mind, Tanya Markova, among many others.
Chris has been gaining admiration from Filipinos because of his support for our local music scene. It’s cool listening to his versions because although the twang is so strong, you can sense how he enjoys singing Tagalog songs.
Now this is Chris with his Tagalog version of Maroon 5′s ‘Payphone’.
