Watch the Beijing Olympics 2008 Closing Ceremony Live

From August 8-24, 2008, the quad-year event Olympic Games will take place in China’s capital Beijing. The Philippines has its hopes to bring home medals in some events, especially Takewondo and Boxing. The games will be broadcasted live here in the Philippines on Channel 9 with CS Solar Sports. I had hoped to see the schedule of the Olympic games coverage by CS Sports ( so that I can watch out for our Filipino athletes and also the much-awaited Team USA basketball run for redemption) but I have yet to see one. So, in the meanwhile, I was scouring the Internet on how I can watch the games online on streaming media. I’ll be updating this site with those ways on how to watch the games, and we will also update you on the winners, results, and medal tally but more so on our Filipino athletes.

Beijing Olympics 2008 Friendlies Mascots Pictures - How To Watch The Olympics Free and Live on Streaming Online Video Feed

1) Here’s what I found out. You can go to Pambihirang Beijing Olympics 2008. It posts updates, winners, and results of the events as well as live streaming video of some important games.

2) Another site that you can visit is BlueMumble’s Olympic Games Live Feed where scheduled games of our Filipino athletes are broadcasted.

3) If you’re from the USA, Canada, Australia, and UK, you can access the games online on NBC Olympics, CBC, ABC, and BBC respectively.

4) If you’re not from these countries, you can use proxy servers in connecting to the live broadcast websites above. To know how to use a proxy server, you can visit here.

5) For the Philippines–after setting up your proxy settings, you can visit Korea’s proxy server and then access Youtube’s Beijing coverage.

6. Another way is to use tv streaming applications, like SopCast and TiVO. you just have to look for the channels and settings to watch the games from them.

7. For live feeds, www.justin.tv is a good option. The problem though with that website is that users trying to broadcast the Olympics are either banned or deleted, mainly because of violation of terms and conditions. But you can try your luck out there.

8. Of course, the best way to catch the games is through your boob tube, or your local television coverage. Just tune in and hope that your favorite games will be broadcasted.

And as I’ve promised, we will try to update this website with results on events where we have a contestant. So if I were you, I’ll subscribe to PinoysGotTalent’s feed.

Let’s support Antoinette Rivero, Tshomlee Go, Harry Tanamor, Miguel Molina and the other Filipino contingent.
