Chinese cutie Kim Chiu’s next teleserye, Pinoy My Girl is one of the hottest topics these past few months. Will it have the same warm response from the viewers when it premieres on May 26 on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida?

Kim as the leading lady for My Girl has been getting nods not just because of her very exotic and oriental features. Looking Back, Kim’s track record in the industry may have been her key for bagging the title role of the Philipine remake.

She did a lot of preparations for her role which includes learning how to speak in fluent Mandarin. Kim will be playing the character of Jasmine, is a poor yet courageous girl, who learned how to be street smart since she moved places a lot with her father.

She likes using her favorite line “Tira-tira!” when provoked. She will meet Julian (Gerald Anderson) in a very uncanny situation and in an unexpected event, the two will be forced to live in a web of lies and deceit. I hope Gerald has improved with regard to his acting.

His ability to portray such character has been doubted since it was announced that he got the male lead in the series. His makeover seems just a “so-so”.
