Ramiele Malubay (a Filipino) on American Idol 7

She wants to be the next Jasmine Trias. Oops, pardon me Ramiele.

She wants to be the first Asian American Idol. Ooops again. Sorry.

She wants to be the first Filipino American Idol. Now I got that right.

This was her audition on American Idol.

And her performance which propelled her to the Top 24.

Ramiele is 20 years old, and lives with her family in Miramar, Florida. So far that’s all we know of her. More info next time. Hopefully she gets a lot of support from Filipino and Asian Americans, and she always gets voted to the next round because she has a great voice and an all-around good performer. And she’s pretty!

This was her performance last Wednesday which, according to Randy Jackson, topped all other singers of the night. She has now moved on to the next round: the Top 20.
