Two David Idols Get Gobsmacked by Pinoy’s Support
Last night, May 16, 2009 was the successful back to back concert of American Idol season 7 winner David Cook and his runeer-up David Archuleta. Roughly 100,000 trooped the concert grounds of SM Mall of Asia for this biggest concert event of the year.
David Cook sang Kiss on the Neck, Mr. Sensitive, Come Back To Me, Avalanche, Straight Ahead, Light On, Life on the Moon, Bar-Ba-Sol and A Daily Anthem, as well as his versions of The World I Know, Heroes, and his chart-topping cover of Mariah Carey’s Always Be My Baby.
On the other hand, David Archuleta performed songs from his self-titled album like Crush, A Little Too Not Over You, Touch My Hand, Angel, Waiting for Yesterday, Don’t Let Go, To Be With You, Your Eyes Don’t Lie, My Hands, You Can, Zero Gravity, and Barriers as well as Stand By Me and A Thousand Miles.
According to reports, the back-to-back concert of Cook and Archuleta was made possible by Fearless Productions which is co-owned by actor Jomari Yllana and the Singson brothers.

archuleta was beyond amazing! he is more vocally dynamic and versatile than cook, and has shown the most growth artistically and professionally since idol… fans all over the world are beginning to recognize the formidable talent and artistry this young man possesses, and we cannot wait for the chance to hear him sing and to listen to his music… archuleta is just getting warmed up, so watch out world….
David is doing his very best…just like anybody else he gets tired too and any changes in his utmost ability to perform is just but natural…with no earpiece is really hard to sing in such a big crowd…some comments about his being”out of tune” during one of his performance…it is ok!!
archuleta wowed 100k plus people in his performance… he never sings any of his songs the same way twice in concert, which keeps them sounding fresh… he worked the stage with lots of energy, and his vocals for this fan were impeccable… at 18 years of age, is is already on his way to becoming one of the most dynamic and vocally versatile singers in the current pop music scene. well done david archuleta, well done. we will miss you, and hope you grace us again very soon with youe presence in a solo concert.
