Would you like to watch Manny Pacquiao fight against David Diaz for the WBC Lightweight Division championship this Sunday, June 29? Well I’ve just found out a way to see the full fight live online using streaming technology. It’s a beta program offered by PLDT and Solar Sports. Please read on to see what I’m talking about to watch Lethal Combination ahead of the rest.

Manny moves up 5 lbs after clinching the Junior Lightweight belt from Juan Manuel Marquez last March 16, 2008 at the same venue: Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, Las Vegas. It’s where all the big action happens. The fear of many is that the Pacman will lose some of his power and speed upon moving up in weight, not to mention the fact that David Diaz is a natural lightweight. I’ve just saw their press conference yesterday and what didn’t escape me is the fact that Manny is as big as David Diaz, even taller. On TV, it only looks as if Diaz is the bigger man because of an uncannily bigger head, onc which I’m sure Pacquiao will target-feast on on Sunday.

So how to watch the Pacquiao-Diaz fight live online? Right now, there is only one way. You must be a PLDT MyDSL account holder, and have a PLDT telephone. Just go to www.mypad.net, register there, and hurry up because registration is only until today, June 27, 2008 at 8pm. I’m not sure thus is free though, because when I checked, MyPad membership is billable on your PLDT account (Solar Access). Now that sucks a little.
